Tools required: 5mm Allen key
Fixed length backpacks make no allowance for the fact that people have different torso lengths and therefore for some people the pressure of the cylinder is exerted too high on the back, directly onto the spine, causing discomfort and possible back problems. The most ergonomic position is achieved by ensuring that the base of the backpack sits comfortably into the small of the back. The element :: allows this by offering up to 100mm extendable length with 6 adjustment increments within that to achieve a precise and comfortable fit. Once your ideal backpack length is found it can be permanently set by means of a single bolt, tightened with a 5mm Allen key.
The element :: backpack has been developed utilising the latest detailed anthropometric research by the British Standards Institution. It is designed to offer a comfort fit for the full range of male and female body shapes and sizes from the 5th to the 95th percentile or 90% of the population. |
