The New BUDDY Tekwing

The BUDDY Tekwing (27.44kg) is a fully customisable technical buoyancy control package with a wide range of optional features allowing you to configure the kit precisely to your needs

Options include redundant buoyancy, weight integration, emergency breathing and buoyancy systems and multiple cylinder camming and side-mounting options

The Tekwing includes the new element ::backpack with all its advantages of comfort and fit

The new backplate also features double cam band slots allowing you the option of fitting two sets of twin-set cam bands top and bottom. This cylinder cam setup will retain a twinset consisting of two independent cylinders (i.e. with separate first stages rather than a manifold) as firmly and rigidly as steel bands

BUDDY Super Cam webbing bands have the advantage over steel bands in that they are easier to pack for travel, require no tools to fit and are easily adjustable to suit other diameter cylinders
Key Features and Options:
   

The Tekwing provides 27.44kg of buoyancy with the option of adding a further 22.5kg BUDDY Redwing to the configuration to make a redundant buoyancy system
Optional RRS Waistband – with the new Rapid Release System for attachment of either the new Integrated Weight pouches

The harness features 2 welded stainless steel D-rings (more may be added) which can be moved to the ideal position and 2 further D-rings on the wings for easy attachment of side-mounted stage cylinders
 
Optional BUDDY Verti-Clips can be fitted to hold the D rings rigid at a right-angle to the jacket for simple one-handed attachment or release of dog-clips
 
Waist-band slots are fitted either side to prevent 'tank-wrap' if the Tekwing is dived with a single cylinder
 
Two-band crotch straps are fitted to eliminate ride-up on inflation of the wing.
 
The Tekwing features three over-pressure/dump-valves - one at the shoulder, a floating one at the kidney, and an AP31 dumping elbow at the left shoulder which is integral to the corrugated hose/inflator assembly
   
The AP200 power inflator has the same hose connection as the AP400 drysuit inflator and the Inspiration CCR diluent inflator

Further Options:
   
Optional emergency mini-cylinder (DIN or Int A-clamp 232 bar 0.4 litre or 300 bar DIN). A blanking plate is included if used without mini-cylinder
   
AP200 power inflator or Auto Air (power inflator / emergency jacket breathing / EN250 rated alternate air source)
   
Cylinder Cam Band Options:
   
 

Twinset BK15 (5.5" diam. cylinder bands)

Twinset BK16 (7" diam. for 10 or 12 ltr cylinders)

Twinset BK17 (8" diam. for 15 ltr cylinders)

Single cylinder cam band fits all up to 15 litre (8" diam.) cylinders

Longer twinset or single bands are available to order
   
Additional D-rings may be added in several ways:
 
 

Fitted to any area of 50mm webbing by means of a BK31 Verti-Clip

Fitted to any area of 50mm webbing by means of either a BK14 3-bar slider or a JJ4 stainless steel 3-bar slider

Fitted with a BK30 D-ring + webbing loop threaded onto the waistband
