The Commando Escape sub three zero

The Commando Escape is a light-weight travel BCD that utilises bespoke new materials to deliver heavy-duty quality,comfort and performance - all under 3kg*

Built in response to customer demand for a high quality travel jacket, the Escape is a single bladder construction made with a unique material specially commisioned by us to provide the best possible balance between quality and weight

The result - OceanSeal 800 - is a tough and unique 800 denier material, high-fequency welded and double-stitched at the seams which offers an extremely rugged yet light-in-weight BCD guaranteed to beat the baggage-fee-blues but still offer the high performance expected of a BUDDY jacket

The Commando Escape is available in 5 sizes: S, M, L, XL & XXL

2 x huge side pockets securely sealed with chunky snag-free 10mm Zips and long easy-grab zip-pullers. The pockets feature handy internal 35mm D rings and mesh gussets for rapid drainage
2 x additional zippered side pockets with eyelets suitable for knife mounting
New low profile power inflator - the APV300
 
2 rapid response air dump/over-pressure valves at kidney and shoulder with large easy-find pull-grips. The kidney grip is designed to float for easy location when diving head down while the shoulder grip is negatively buoyant and always to hand
 
Third shoulder exhaust/over-pressure valve built into the inflator assembly allows one-handed buoyancy control. This integrated shoulder dump valve dumps gas at a slower rate than the other valves making it ideal for fine-tuning your buoyancy

Supercam cylinder band grips the main cylinder with absolute security. Upgradable to twin cambands and interchangable (no tools required)
 
Patented stud system construction allows rapid flow of air around the jacket allowing the diver to move freely underwater unhindered by trapped air pockets
 
Reflective silver piping offers enhanced diver visibility. It is PU encapsulated for hard-wearing longer life
 
Super-strong 50mm side release catches at shoulders and waist for simple and rapid removal of kit with or without gloves
Expandable gusset structure holds the bcd in a low profile body shape that will not flap around or create drag during the dive. It also ensures that the buoyancy cell expands away from the body minimising squeeze on inflation
 
Blow-moulded rigid backplate with sure-grip BCD carry handle
2-way adjustable waistband allows tightening with either hand
Light-weight anodised aluminium D rings

PLEASE BE AWARE: The new (Oct 2010) APV300 inflator has standard inflate/deflate/oral-inflate functions BUT DOES NOT have the emergency jacket-breathing valve function of the other two A.P. Valves. Therefore, you will not be able to use this valve for this emergency routine as described in the APV200 and APV100 sections of this site

There is no facility for an emergency mini-cylinder option on the Escape. Therefore, if you choose the Auto Air option, the emergency jacket-breathing function of the Auto Air does not apply.
